Blood Dance’s Mission to Push the Boundries of Goth

Blood Dance. Remember the name, because this band is here to shatter your preconceived notions of what it means to be goth in today’s world. In fact, forget genres. Blood Dance is a musical hydra, that draws its lifeblood from the darkness; whether it be the present dystopian reality, fictional demons, or ancestral spirits.

Natalya Speranzza pounds the drums like he's summoning the devil, Castel's synths and guitars wail and moan like tortured spirits, Bree M's basslines throb with an ominous intensity, and the mastermind Asanti—well, Asanti weaves it all together with guitars, synths, and vocals that could wake the dead. They’re not just playing music; they’re conjuring a ritual, a ceremony of sound designed to make the darkest dance floors on the planet tremble and quake. So, if you're tired of the same old recycled noise, if you crave something raw, something real, something that'll grip your spine and yank you into the shadows, then Blood Dance is your ticket.

SINGLES & RELEASES

Since 2019, Blood Dance has unleashed a series of singles, each one of which was crafted under the guidance of Bari-Bari from Mephisto Walz, a living legend in the gothic rock scene. Blood Dance stands out in an otherwise stale, scene filled with cookie-cutter bands, taking a unconformist approach to songwritting, merging somber gothic ballads, with deathrock, and darkwave-inspired dance anthems into a sound that refuses to be contained, and leaves you inspired. After all, what is true musical artistry if not the freedom to explore ? This is Blood Dance.

SOUND & VISion

Blood Dance's allure doesn't merely reside within the confines of sound. From the beginning, they've focused on linking visuals with music, in order to give each song its own story and identity; making each release its own universe.

Child of Fear
A Butoh-Inspired Performance Piece featuring Valeria Monforte.

Wiked King
The saga of "Wicked King" their haunting single, unfurled into a three-part horror saga, akin to the tales spun by vintage horror maestros. It's a cinematic embrace of eerie cabins, chilling narratives, and a bloodcurdling blend of gore and intrigue.

Burn Slow
Based upon a dream, Blood Dance found an abandoned baroque church in Mexico City and with the support of the local Gothic community, the video for Burn Slow was filmed.
